Frequently Asked Questions

The duration varies depending on your needs and goals. Some people find benefit in short-term work (8-12 sessions), while others prefer longer-term therapy. We’ll discuss this together and review regularly.

The initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to achieve. It’s also your chance to ask questions and see if you feel comfortable working with me.

Yes, with limited exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to yourself or others). I’ll explain these boundaries clearly before we begin. Please see my Therapy Terms & Policies for full details.

Both formats offer the same therapeutic value. Online sessions are conducted via secure video call and can be more convenient if you have mobility issues or live far away. In-person sessions take place at my practice in Co. Wicklow.

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged at the full session rate. See my full policies for details.

I keep a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for those experiencing financial hardship. Please ask if this would help make therapy accessible for you.

Some health insurance policies cover psychotherapy. Please check with your provider. I can provide receipts for you to claim, but payment is due directly to me at the time of session.
