The length of therapy is different for everyone and depends on your individual needs and what you would like to explore. Some people come for a short period to work through a particular issue, while others stay longer to explore things more deeply and support ongoing personal growth.

The initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to achieve. It is also your chance to ask questions and see if you feel comfortable working with me.

Yes, however there are certain limits to confidentiality required by law (for example one is risk of harm to yourself or others ). The therapist will explain these boundaries in the first in person session. Please see my Therapy Terms & Policies for full details.

Both formats offer the same therapeutic value. Online sessions are conducted via secure video call and can be more convenient if you have mobility issues or live far away. In-person sessions take place at my practice in Dún Laoghaire.

Please provide at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged at the full session rate. See my full policies for details.

I keep a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for those experiencing financial hardship. Please ask if this would help make therapy accessible for you.

Therapy can benefit anyone looking to understand themselves better, work through difficulties, or make changes in their life. The free 15-minute call is a good opportunity to discuss whether therapy and working with me specifically might be helpful for you.

Some health insurance policies cover psychotherapy. Please check with your provider. I can provide receipts for you to claim, but payment is due directly to me at the time of session.
